Another price increase
#11
Other prices are going up like food, medications clothing etc etc. I am sure glad we have a Walmart were the prices make it affordable. Personally we have had to cut back on many things we always buy. I haven't had a garden for a long time and this year I will be making a big garden and doing lots of canning. Maybe its time we go straight back to the farmer. I firmly believe we need to keep our fabric stashes huge till this economy finely levels out.

I know sugar went up! I bought a bag a couple of days ago, generic mind you, and $3.79 for 5 pounds! WHAT?! I don't get it, I really don't! They say the price increase is because of the people being obese. They even called it a "fat tax" on all sugar containing items!

There have been several posts about Priority Flat rates going up. However, I just went onto USPS website & the rate is still $4.95 at the post office & $4.75 if printing label on line.
I did print several Priority labels on Jan 2nd & was only charged the $4.75

The Clerk said it was because the two cent postage increase was denied that they had to make it up somewhere.
