Default Christmas Idea Crazy or Sane?

Through QB I found a web site offering a pattern and directions for making neck pillows. I decided to make these for my sons, son-in-laws, grandsons, etc. for Christmas. My husband laughed at me and told me they wouldn't have any idea what they were. Thus, I composed this little explanation to accompany them. Is this crazy or sane?

Explanation is as follows:

Grams a pain in the neck
Man, can she whine and moan
And I say to myself
Gram leave me alone

She kisses my cheek
And asks how I've been
The forgets that she's done it
And does it again

Gramps takes her out shopping
He stays in the car
Can't keep up with Grandma
He can't walk that far

She likes to make cookies
Hot rolls, and cake
And a new table runner
She's likely to make

She digs in her flowerbed
With all of her might
Her buts in the air
It's a horrible sight.

Grams been doing some sew'n
Some pillows she did make
And stuffed them with love
For when you neck starts to ache.

She knows she's a pain
And she likely won't change
Keep your neck pillow handy
When Grandma's in range.

Priceless .. your poem will do the job!

I had one like that, that I called the "dog bone"!!!!
It was covered in a stretch velvet and oh so soft and comfy.
The shape was perfect for cradling my neck, and I used it instead of a regular pillow in bed.
Eventually, it fell apart ....... and I have never been able to replicate it.

So if you'd share the link to the pattern, I'd really appreciate it!
Please? and Thanks!

Cute poem! I've just made 4 of these as well after my neighbour showed me hers that she was repairing after a few years of use. I found my pattern on www.sew4home.com under Last Minute Gift Pillows: Relaxing Neck Pillow.

abc - I notice you used cloth tabs on the ends instead of the ribbon, I think that's a good idea, can't imagine if anyone started "rough housing" with one of these, how the ribbon will last. Oh well.... at the moment, they're going to "senior" members of the family so we'll see.

Thanks ThimbleBug!!
And so many other ideas on that site ... just never enough time!
About the ribbon/tabs ... I don't see any real purpose for them. Perhaps just omit?

For others ... here's a direct link to the pattern

The sew4home one is the one that I used. You can make them either with or without the handles.
