Dog lovers, is this how it works at your house, too?

Just got our new golden boy Axl last Friday. He's our fourth. The other three lived to be seniors. I haven't sewn anything since he arrived. Too busy potty training and keeping him from chewing up our stuff even though he has plenty of his own stuff to chew on. We live in eagle country so he can't be alone outside yet. Gotta go take him out. Hope to sew something soon!

When I sit at my sewing machine, the dogs think it's nap time. When I get up to get coffee or whatever I do when I walk away from the machine for a few minutes, they stay sleeping. If it's around noon, they go out and come right back inside, planting their selves at the door of my sewing room. When I sew, they sleep more.

Our black lab soon learnt I was NOT available for door duty! And also learnt that when I had a quilt on the floor ready to be pinned and tacked together he was NOT to walk on it! He would have a real hangdog look and wearily walk around the edge. They're such characters.
