well let me jump in here........... I also love making doll clothes how I started sewing at 8 yrs old,altho I can't afford the American girl dolls but have bought a few of the springfield dolls from joanns and acmoore for the longest time they were $19.99 and always used a 40%off coupon now they are $25.00 this is what they are dress in now.love looking at these pictures I often thought of getting the 30minute doll clothes from nancy zieman I find so many free patterns on the web just by google

sue, i have to giggle! they say the head needs to be covered in cold weather to keep you warm. i think, tho' they assume you are wearing clothes at the time! lol

my kids wish it would go away! but they are fun, and you can say anything to them and they won't squeal--much like pets! my ddil is terrified of the day dgd inherits the dolls and all their props and clothes. she's afraid she'll need to add on another room. well, they have their own room now, so they are used to that! lol
2 of the springfield dolls have bangs for sure-- abby, blonde and olivia, redhead.

Nancia-I have used 2 different books so far. The 1 I posted a picture of and the other was the 30 Minute Doll Clothes. That 1 had easier patterns. The Girl Scout vest was a free 1 from a blog and a couple of them were from baby clothes made smaller.
