Just got done a little late but done. One thing people don't realize is by making the bed it keeps it cooler to crawl into in warmer months. Also keeps dust from sheets which minimizes any dust mites. I am curious how many use mattress pads. I have never gone without one. Even growing up my mother had some kind of cover to protect the mattress. Often an oil cloth to prevent the younger ones from wetting accidents. Every bed in the house had a protective covering. Growing up we had to make the bed before we got dressed and had breakfast.

Nope - my bed is never made unless I change the sheets. It is in a room that the door is closed at all times and nobody knows but me. DH has his own room and does not make his bed either - a complete waste of time as far as I am concerned.

I make my bed every morning. And I use a cushiony matress pad. When I was growing up we couldn't come to breakfast unless we were dressed and our bed was made. My stepfather was in the army, and more than once I came home to find my matress flipped into the floor because my bed wasn't made right. Hospital corners had to be just right and the bed needed to be made so tight you could flip a quarter on it! I loathe bedspreads to this day and prefer comforters/quilts and pillow shams.
