Oh, and the fabric that is about the purple in the middle is dyed using ice cubes. I scrunch up the fabric just a little after it has been folded in half. I completely cover the fabric with ice cubes, and then, pour some dyes onto the ice cubes. It takes the ice about 24 hours (I live in the NW!) to melt. Then, I pick the fabric up, rinse it really well and do my finishing washes and rinses.
This is a substitute for what other people do in snow dyeing.
But, hey, we don't get enough snow here, and I like doing it in the summer. This method creates some very nice crystal effects.
And, I found out that I love bamboo clothing. When you touch it, is sort of feels like a cross between angora and cashmere. Except for dog clothing, I will only dye bamboo now.
