I didn't really like any of the clothes by any designer this season either although I think Gretchen's were more wearable.
It wasn't a popularity contest so Gretchen's attitude just made good TV.
As far as the judges being unable to decide between Gretchen and Mondo for the winner just shows how out of touch the people who run the fashion industry are with "people".
Everything is aimed (as usual) for 20yr old skeletons.
I'm too old and too big for any of the clothes made on the show, but my DDs aren't and even they said they'd actually only wear a couple of the clothes this whole season.

I was pulling for Mondo. The clothes, IMHO, were too NY-ish, too young, not really wearable. Of course I am writing from the OZARKS - so you understand where I am coming from. I just remember liking Anthony's clothes from LAST season. THOSE were down-to-earth.

I started to watch it and then I fast forward to see who won. Well when I saw it was the mean you know what I clicked off and went to bed. I deleted it this am and wont even watch it. I cannot stand her and her ego etc. As fas as I'm concerned she ruined the whole season.

I thought she would win, and I'm glad she did.

Was she faking her attitude change at the end? Hugging Michael C.? I did think she had the most cohesive look though. I did hate those diaper shorts.

I really liked Gretchen, and I think she's right she "played" a bitch on tv but I don't think that's who she really is. It's all under the control of the producers and directors.
I think she is like a lot of us. Who try and encourage another person even though we make not care for what they are doing. Ask yourself this how many times have you written encouragement and praise for another quilter on this board but their style or fabric selections were not your personal preferences or likes? The difference is that it's a reality show and they ask contestants away from the others what they really thought.
I really thought Mondo was going to win. I thought his clothes were fun. BUT something I would have worn back when I was very young and in the mid 80s. There were pieces I could have worn but the vast majority was too youthful.
I didn't really care for any of Gretchen's clothes. I liked Andy's line but it was rather one note. I think the judges made a good decision. And Yeah another Oregon girl won!

i wanted mike c to win. i loved his last 3 looks when he was eliminated...the other 3 all had items i'd never wear but mike c's last minute challenge dress was beautiful and i loved it.

I agree - Mike C. had some beautiful, and very wearable, garments in his collection. Gretchen's stuff, on the other hand, would make anyone look dowdy. I have been slowly educating DH on the finer points of fashion over the years, and he was totally shocked when I told him that Gretchen had won (I had already shown him all the collections).

I think Mondo should have won. Gretchen's stuff was just horrid if you ask me
Ditto! Gretchen was twofaced, and I hope it will bite her in the rear in the future. I looked like she had on a sheer skirt and underwear...when she bent to hug Mondo at the end, her 'end' was hanging out...I'm not happy...

Gretchen was complaining that the blogs were all calling her a b*****. If you are going to act the part, you should accept the label. I didn't like her pity party the last few weeks after she was so mean the first few weeks. Nina was right when she said they should both win because the judges were split 2/2. Why didn't they give half to each? That would have still been $50 thousand.
