I watch my grandson who is four. By the time I am off duty I am too tired to sew. On weekends I sew if the mood hits me.

Today it was a barking golden retriever (my avatar) who wanted to go outside, but not by herself. Sometimes it is work (two PT jobs) or other commitments. Thank heaven it wasn't a snake!!!

Life in general. When I retired a year ago I planned to sew all the time, and I have done a lot, but yard work, numerous doctors' appointments for me and hubby, church activities, etc. just seem to fill my time. Currently I'm working on costumes for local community playhouse, which is sewing and fun, but not quilting.

By the time I have b'fast, shower, cook big lunch for 5, clean up the dishes, I'm almost too tired to sew, Also have to go see about a 90 yr. old sister in a nursing home, who is angry, tired, getting Alzheimers[every day], wanting to go home, and can't take care of herself and thinks her dead husband, Mother and Dad are still alive, I come home really tired. But, I did make her a lap robe today. I have to quilt it yet. AND, I have to see who and what is on here. This is my "fun" part of the day. I love it. Barny

Work and kids (including husband!). I can relate to not having a dedicated place to sew...exhausting with setting up and total clean up afterwards; especially after work and kids!!! So, I took over the dining room a few months ago. Hate that I can't close a door or draw a curtain but I would never be able to sew otherwise. Who uses the dining room for dining anyway?

Life! Iwork full time, when I get home, I have to cook, and my second full time job starts, taking care of an 8 yr old boy, work on his homework, reading after that, then shower and bed. By the time I am done I am tired, I walk to my sewing room just to realize that I only want to lay down. I wait anxiously for the weekend and plan for long hours of quilting and life again doesn't let me. Someday, when I retire, I hope! Don't kill my hope than after retirement you can't still spend time withe the sewing machine!

Coming home from an 11 hour day at work, and being too tired to play.
