Hello - I am new here because I am starting a memory quilt
Hello.. just joined because I am always looking for ideas and input. I have been quilting off and on for years (more years than I care to think about). I am not serious or heavy into it... usually just work on baby quilts for family and friends. Recently I was inspired to start a new project that has me nervous and I want to do the best job I can on it. Our family lost my nephew in an auto accident and I wanted to make my sister a memory quilt from Jake's clothes. So I came here to learn, be inspired and to keep motivated Thanks

Welcome. Sorry about the loss of your nephew. I can't imagine the heartache the family is feeling. You've come to the right place for inspiration and advice. The ladies & gents here are wonderful and so knowledgeable and willing to help.

I am So sorry to hear about the loss of your nephew.
I have made a tee-shirt quilt, and that type of cotton (t-shirt) needs to be ironed onto a lightweight fusible web. I used a dark tonal background fabric in between and around all the shirt logos. When the shirt logos were not the same size, I added coordinating and contrast fabrics.
