I recently posted a photo of the Civil War quilt that was a THORN IN MY SIDE...and so many of you encouraged me to complete it and I finished the top today. What do you think?

THANK YOU to all of you that were there for me. You are so appreciated.

    It is queen size

It is beautiful. Love your color choice for the sashing. It's dark enough to set off the squares but not too dark. Perfect. You must feel great.

That is simply beautiful. What a fabulous quilt. You did a wonderful job of picking the right color for the sashing and borders, it's perfect and lets the blocks stand out nicely.

When I saw the photo of just the blocks, I wasn't all that impressed. Then I saw your second photo and all I could think was WOW. "Those were the same blocks??" was what I was thinking. The sashing and the border around each block just makes those blocks pop. You did a really great job.
