[b][i]Hey there. I am a "new" quilter- I sew and try to embroider, too though. I have been doing this for 3 years so you'd think I would be past the beginner stages but I see my flaws, not the beauty in its uniqueness but my husband presents it to me like that. I have too much time, not enough fabric and my family tells me I need to join "FA"- Fabrics anonymous. My stash is taking over our dining room and I am on my third sewing machine since I started. I like to get my fabric from all over- JoAnn's, Walmart, Internet- my fave Internet sites are Fabric.com, The Craft Connection, and eQuilter, and I have discovered many others. I only did easy stuff at first- all sizes of blocks. I think I have made quilts for almost every member of the family- although at Christmas I felt overwhelmed and discovered the joy of the no sew fleece blankets. I work in a large ER department and have made quilts for almost every expectant parent and right now, I have 3 going on. I love making baby quilts because they represent so much- the new life, new joy, new aspirations, etc. That and my mom made my daughter one and she cherished it to pieces. I have a list above the computer with who is due when and if they know what they're having and if they have a preference for something or what their nursery is going to be. I love getting fabric- just like getting a Christmas present every time you open the package because when you reuse it, you think of the baby that it stood for. My boys each have their own quilt- one's into Dinosaurs and the other's into creepy, crawly things. My oldest son is in the "black" stage so I am collecting black for him. My daughter is all about pink and she will be leaving the nest soon so I can collect for a little while longer for her. The husband has gotten one Animal Skin themed one and I have the outdoors waiting in the wings to make 2 more. I have had a Celestial stash for probably 3 years now and it stays there, waiting until it is time for me. Don't know when that will be though. So many babies, so little time....

Thanks for the welcome. I tend not to fit in in most places.
