I live in the same town as Janet and she's right about there being no certified repairmen. The other shops will work on a Viking but your warranty will be null. I used to sell these machines and the shop's owner went under and all the repair went as well. It's a horrible thing and if anyone is looking for a new career this would be a good one. You are right about the China thing. Terrible for a wonderful company to sell out like that. Mine is very old and one day I'll have to make a decision on what kind to buy next.

I'd get it back asap. I would be worried, in view of the fact that he has "family problems" that I may never see my machine again, just not a safe situation.

My machine was in the shop pushing 3 months. The thing still acts up.
