    Default Alligator Tales baby quilt

One of these days I'm going to actually have a pattern in mind when I buy material. This was another "fly by the seat of my design wall" pattern. Still, I like it, even though it's larger than the crib sized batting I bought for it. I made the back a little "softer" for variety. Not sure how to quilt it. Suggestions?

It doesn't look to me as if you need a formal pattern. Cute as can be.

it's an adorable quilt. the individual blocks lend themselves to SITD. in the open blocks, i'd quilt some animal shape, a tree branch with leaves, or, at the bottom right water with fish.
