Default Anyone use the Retro Clean on thier old quilts?

I recently purchased an old quilt that had been stored in a cedar chest. It has some lines on it from the wood oils. While researching cleaning it, I have run across this product called retro clean. Has anyone used it, and how happy were you with the results?

Cindy Needham recommends it, and uses it for her fantastic linen wholecloth quilts. I don't know how it will do on wood oils from a cedar chest, but it's definitely worth a try.

I have used Linen Wash by LeBlanc on my quilts that needed washing. I use to buy it in the linen stores but they have all closed. I am using what I have left sparingly.

I made the mistake of putting m baby quilt in a cedar chest and the oils ate the fabric at the folds. I would not put the quilt in the washing machine as the fabric may be very fragile.

I've used it with Outstanding results!! Takes a little time to do but so worth it. It didn't take out the rust from old straight pins but otherwise it was pristine white again!

I have used retroclean a lot. I like to restore vintage/ antique quilts. I soak them in the bathtub for 4-5 days..changing out the yucky water as necessary. Then,I ( audible gasp heard from the quilt police), put them in my washer on gentle, cool with oxyclean. I dry them upside down on an old sheet on the deck in the shade. If a small stain remains...it's just part of the quilt's history.
