Default Ideas for a Christmas in July party for quilt guild?

I need help! Next week my fun quilt guild (not the snobby one ) is having a Christmas in July meeting. I just joined this group a few months ago and have learned so much from them in a short time. Basically we are to make or take something if we choose for an exchange. Any ideas? these ladies are fantastic quilters so I wouldn't dream of making a table runner or anything like that. I was thinking maybe a set of coasters and a cute coffee mug with some hot chocolate mixes in it. I don't want to look cheap ( the limit is $10) but i also know my quilting skills are not at a level of theirs yet. What do you think? any other ideas?

I think the whole idea of the exchange is to have fun, so don't worry if your skills aren't equal (yet) to the others. Just make something that you would like, and take it with pride.

Make a quilted basket and fill it with goodies/plant...etc. Here is a link and photo of some I did for Mother's day

Pick up a colorful sundae dish from the $ store and put in a couple of ice cream coloured fabric fat quarters. Quilter's are always glad to get more fabric.

Believe me the quilters will love whatever you make to exchange so don't be so hard on yourself. Last year I bought very pretty clear candy jars/dishes and filled each one with fabric taffy. Take a jelly roll strip and roll it up to look like a tootsie roll, then wrap it in cellaphane with a twist on each end like taffy wrappers. About 20 strips of co ordinated strips of quality fabric will be equal to $10 plus the jar. I got a whole jelly roll of the strips in a wide mouth quart Mason jar. Also empty plastic water bottles will hold fat quarters and fun to put in a big tub for quilt party favors.
