I like the idea of the magnetic curtain rods - if your door is metal. I kinda wish mine was.

I never had good luck with the Command strips working outside. I placed them on both my screen door (glass surface) and the aluminum siding, and they wouldn't stay on either one.

If your door isn't metal, I was thinking maybe you could rig something up with a wreath hanger and a sleeve.

How about?? .... two wreath hangers over the door top, with a dowel between.
Then hanging sleeve for the quilt/flag.

I love your flag. It's perfect for these patriotic holidays.

I have a metal door and I use magnetic clips like you use on a bulletin board to hang all my door decorations. I find them in the office supply section of walmart. If you don't have a metal door maybe you can jimmy up one of those wreath hangers that you slip over the top of the door to hold your flag up.

Sorry- QuiltE beat me to the idea.

You could try the Command strips meant for use in bathrooms and showers. They'll work with any hook of the right size and do really stick in humid conditions if you follow the directions.

I hope you find some way of hanging your lovely quilt flag that works!

It was probably the heat buildup between the storm door and regular door. That will melt the glue on the strips.

Nice hanging by the way.
