    Default Christmas Gifts

Tis the season for us to start cracking down on making Christmas presents. So let's all share as we get them done.

Here is my first. It's a bag for my sil. She is a nurse hence the fabric choice and had complained about needing a bag for carrying her waters and lunch and kindle. So I made this for her and made a wider strap so it doesn't hurt her shoulder. I will make a matching kindle cover for her with the extra fabric I have.

I still have a bunch of stockings to quilt up which will go quick. 2 nook cases and 2 kindle cases to make. Hopefully I can make my grandmother in law a quilt for her bed as well. She asked for one in all blue for her bed.

Your bag is just darling. She is going to love it. Great Job. I will show my gifts soon, I am waiting for some quilting stencils I ordered. I am doing some fmq tomorrow. Keep up the good work. I like the diagonal quilting on the bag.

That looks great and sounds like you've got some more gift sewing to do. I've only started on a couple of pot holders that I haven't finished yet.

So far I've made two Casserole covers, a couple ornaments, and some "Nookmarks" ...
I'll also be knitting some items.

I have been quite busy with gift making these days. So far, since the middle of last month; I have 3 so called 15 minute tablerunners, I just finished a making the front of a scrappy embroidery wall hanging today. I have that another wall hanging that is being hand quilted with nice "primitive" stitches. I have taken 2 adopted orphan machine embroidered blocks and made them into wall hangings, I have another batch of adopted orphans being turned into a 6 placemats & tablerunner set as a gift. I've been making several scissor keepers, and 4-patch pincushions. Then there is the appliqued totebag for another gift. I made a lap quilt and several snackk mats just to list a few things. I'm hand quilting a baby quilt for a very close friend. And I have many more to work on. I'll be glad when the holidays are done....LOL!

Whew that just makes be tired just listing all. The Kicker is these are mostly Secret Santa gifts that is going away. For the most part Christmas isn't a big deal here as we always have problems of some sort at the end on year.

I have some older pieces that were intended to be vests. Remember that craze? My DD just asked me to make her an apron for Christmas and I think I'll try to use those vest pieces for the front of the apron. Maybe something can also make a pocket. Add some fabric for the skirt. Sound doable?
