I also use these for all marking. The "blue washable quilt marker" tends to show back up even after several washings Plus, the crayola pack is much cheaper...probably because it doesn't have the word "quilt" on the package!

This is good to know. I debated this weekend whether or not to get the markers. I know another errand to add to my list.

They're readily available everywhere in Australia so perhaps they're in the UK now too?

I use them as well. Word of caution...make sure you use Crayola, dd used an off brand on a project. It didn't wash out with detergent, had to use a powerful cleaner full strength and soak for a day. It finally came out, but was kind of scary in the meantime..nearly ruined her hard work! Some of the crayola colors rinse out with water, some it takes detergent, but they do come out easily. I tested mine on cotton fabric and vintage sheets which are a blend. I do not like the blue quilt marking pen...I always get ghost lines after washing...

These are fantastic. The only thing I consider is whether fabric is white on white or light painted colors Has any one had issues?

Not with whites or lights. Have used all 8 colors on all colors of fabrics and no issues.

I colored a detailed pattern with black onto an unwashed yellow cotton t-shirt...used Dawn as my soap, warm water regular wash. Not a bit of black remained...a successful trial in my book.
