LOL, well you did it before Jan 1st so it doesn't count. Now no more shopping, we are watching you.

It only counts if you made the same resolution last year. (You didn't, did you?)

I went overboard as my LQS had a blow-out inventory reduction sale last week!! I really tried to think of anything I might need for the next year to use with my stash. I spent an obscene amount of money -- the owner thought there had been a mispriced item or something!! BUT, I'm vowing to ONLY use from my stash in 2013!! Happy New Year, everyone and happoy quilting!!

If I had to be the jury on this , I would have to say "not guilty"... you squeaked it in just under the wire.

I have a pretty nice stash, however when Hancocks and Connecting Threads send the absolute teaser sales, with additional %'s off, well, I crumble. I have learned that if I don't buy it when I see it (and love it), when I do decide to purchase, it is gone or the sale is over!

Deb, you are so right. I posted the other day while I was quibbling over whether to enhance my stash or buy for a specific quilt. Ultimately, I ordered everything but I dithered so long that one of the fabrics was sold out. Luckily, it was a neutral that I think I can find a substitue for.

If I had not bought fabric at the end of year sales every year, I would have had to pay almost triple the price during the year so I buy buy buy when I find a great sale. I love using my fabric I know I paid a few dollars for when the same fabric is over $10 a yard in the store.

maybe the "better" resolution is to vow to use X number of stash pieces w/ 1 newly bought piece.

Good luck!! And no - doesn't count til after midnite - maybe even midnite in Hawaii or Alaska - which ever is the furthest west....
