Snooze2978/Suz in Iowa, I have a Viking Designer 1 also. I use it for both embroidery and my piecing work. Yes, it IS a rather old machine, and the hoop size is a bit limited, but I really do enjoy it. Mine is so old it has the floppy disk to upload designs!!

Love your pics, too!!!

Quite a few people have asked why there cannot be a separate heading for embroidery. It seems the moderator or the person who runs this forum wishes not to add this because it is not "quilting" orienting. Yet, there are other areas that have nothing to do with quilting. It seems as if embroidery is not considered important enough. Like I said, it has been requested many times, but poo poo'd.

So true......when I couldn,t find this thread and I posted my question about the spliting embroidery...they removed my post and sent it to the chitchat section......I did answer them on a private message that many of us are combining embroidery with quilting.....I had made so many quilting with embroidery in them.......
........lets hope they will realize how important this thread is......

I have sent numerous (at least 4+) requests to have a
sticky thread for machine embroidery, like they have for
the vintage machines.

I was told by the head honcho here that no it would not
be happening. That is was a disservice to everyone to have
us posting all under this one thread.

I was hoping they would let us have a separate Quilting /Machine Embroidery Thread so we could help each other when making our quilts. I make baby quilts using my embroidery blocks. Here are two baby quilts I'm working right know some of my UFO's.
