I saw a video you youtube from Crafty Gemini about making these baskets. I went to Walmart but all I saw was nylon rope. You have to have 3/16 (or so) cotton rope or cording. Instead of running around to a bunch of different stores in this hot weather. Does anyone know where I can find either one?

I bought it some time ago (over a year), but I found some "green" cotton clothesline at Walmart. I will try to get out to my studio later today and look at the brand name and will post it for you.

An alternative is cording used for upholstery projects - they sell it at Joann's or find a local upholstery shop and buy it by the box = cheaper by buying in bulk.

Hardware store - I know they have it at Lowe's / Home Depot. Be careful if you use the upholstery cording - they sell a plastic version (DON'T USE) - it will become brittle and break.

Can't wait to see you bowl!

Even grocery stores carry the cotton; it's just clothes line to hang your clothes on. I've made them before.
