    Love the design and colors.
That is perfect for stitch in the ditch. Since you are a new quilter that would be the easiest to do. You can stitch all the way across the quilt with diaginal lines.
Borders are a great place to learn free motion since the border is always to the left so no bundling the quilt inside the throat area. I have a simple heart design continuous line stencil that I got at Joanns, it is good for beginning free motion.

Love this pattern - great job - I did one for a girl and quilted butterflies in the light colored triangles. For a boy, maybe dogs?

I love your baby quilt. Be sure to show us it after you have done the quilting.

Nice little quilt you have done, something simple here would be nice, but whatever you choose will be just lovely for this one.

That is a beautiful quilt. I would stitch in the ditch. Mom never leads you wrong.

Beautiful quilt. I think stitch in the ditch would be very nice and add the decorative stitch in the white borders.

Check out the pictures on this site for my Beatrix Potter baby quilt...I used pinwheels as alternating blocks, and my LAQ used a stippling pattern in the white sections of the pinwheels, leaving the colored triangles open. The stippling followed the lines of the triangle (there are pics of the back of the quilt posted there too), so you can see how that would look. If you use the Hobbs 80-20 batting, you can quilt up to 8-10 inches apart. I would use a different pattern on the borders..

ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR QUILT - such pretty colors.....and a wonderful job you did piecing this too!! Please post pics when you have quilting and binding done. I would love to see it.

I looked at your quilt and it is beautiful! I love the quilting that was done on yours. I would love to learn how to do that some day. I love the material you have. Especially the ones that are the same as mine ;) Too funny. Thanks for your advice. I too was thinking different pattern for the borders - it will add variety.
