definitely more...mostly because over the long run I think it will hold up better. Plus I love the look!

More quilting--it's not all "THAT much". It's beautiful!

I like the "more" version. I think it's prettier & it also will last longer going through the wash. I have done baby quilts with denser designs than that and they are still plenty cuddly and I'm running into more & more people who still have their baby quilts when they go off to college. I know it's for a baby, but the more quilted version really makes it look like a family heirloom, in my humble opinion.

Update. Thanks all! The final tally shows more "mores" and less "lesses"! So I'm doing more! Will post when done but I appreciate the input.
[QUOTE=Kitsie;

This is a baby quilt and will have a Prairie Point border. Because of the Dream Orient batting the "less" would be adequate and I didn't want a too buy look. Now that I've auditioned the "more" look it's growing on me. As you may be able to see off the plastic wrap, the quilting is/will be done with aqua thread.

Value your opinions! Thanks!

I'm with Jan, I'd be concerned with how many washings or how the quilt will be used (i.e. on the floor or in a stroller) as to how much quilting might be necessary. : )

I think LESS for a baby quilt - I like the softer, puffier look. When a baby quilt is TOO MUCH, it looks and feels more like a rug than a blanket.

Lots of options presented here. If you quilt with the aqua color I would suggest the lesser amount of quilting. I would use a thread that is a couple of shades darker than the background if you choose the example with more quilting. Either way will make a nice quilt. I will be curious to see what you choose in the final analysis. I think it is a lovely quilt. I like the idea of the prairie point edge.

I like the more version as it centers over the colored pieces. The other seems to just float with no "centering" place.
