Default I like quilts that . . .

I like quilts that
1. look difficult but are actually easy to make
2. create optical illusions
3. have blocks of different sizes
4. use lots and lots of different fabrics (scraps)

How would you finish this sentence?

Utilize many colors.
Are forgiving in their design, If I make a mistake, it's hard to find.
Do not have 92 pieces in every block.

I like (to make) quilts that:
  1. are my own design
  2. look harder than they are
  3. invite you in for a closer look
  4. are not limited by unit (not always a block) size or shape
  5. have visual depth, intricacy, and impact

....that I design myself
....that are bed quilts with wool batting.
....that use one shape block components but surprise with their overall intricate look.
....that have several different fabrics/prints in the same color family and use more than one color family.

I like quilts that are finished......think 46 UFO's and another 100+ fabric kits complete with pattern attached. What was I thinking???? Apparently I wasn't.
