If you had a request for a "neutral" bed quilt, what would that mean to you?

You're on the right track. I would find a pattern that would use a wide range of those colors from light to dark. It will blend into a neutral setting better. maybe with a small pop of any rich color like wine or eggplant. I have always liked the log cabin or Hunters star for multi-colored quilts. The HS would be great in three colors and the LC in as many light and dark neutrals as you can collect. Have fun and keep us posted!

Your quilt is beautiful. The pattern with the colors you chose are unique. When people ask for a neutral quilt, it's challenging because they frequently don't know how to correctly make choices of color in a quilt. Yours has enough color to be eye pleasing yet not color specific. Great job!
