if. you post a "I messed this up" item -
- such as a block that is facing a different direction from the others
- a border that is ruffled and was meant to be flat
- blocks where the intersectionss are supposed to meet, but are 1/4 inch off
- etc
Are you really looking for suggestions and encouragement to fix/ change it?
Or
Are you really looking for approval to leave it as it is?
(Assuming this is at a before iit was bound and sent off stage in the process)

Very valid points. If a post like this was more specific, there would be less chance of possible unwanted criticism or hurt feelings. Also might help avoid the posting going off in territories never intended.

I really don't know; but responses such as "if it bothers you, change it" caught my attention. This week, I was making the Lattice Quilt that Jenny Doan demonstrated recently. I was watching what she was doing. She cut a charm square in half on the diagonal and sewed a 1-1/2" strip between the two pieces. After making 62 of those blocks, I looked at the video again and saw that the quilt behind her had different fabric on each side of the strip. Remembering the response that I had read here many times, I knew it would bother me. I am now an expert at ripping. I sewed different fabric on the top of each block. I was thankful that people had given that advice to others. With my corrected blocks, I am very happy. Also, I learned a lesson. Look at the finished quilt before you start to make one like it.

This can get quite tricky.
Personally I never post my mistakes just to point at them. No way.
I either fix it or I don't but I won't point to it because it will probably bother
me too much specially if I don't intend to fix it. LOL
I prefer to keep quiet and nobody will be the wiser. ;-)
