Sewnoma, Are you talking about the small "Straight Applique Scissors"? at $3.49?? They look nice... and they're really sharp???

I hope this doesn't post twice. I have been making ruffle scarves. Do a Google or Pinterest search for instructions and videos. Sashay Yarn can be bought on sale at Wal-Mart, Joanne, and Hancock averaging about $5 per skein. Requires a J crochet hook and scissors. These make a terrific gift, and only take about 30 minutes!!! Requires NO proficiency in crocheting.

Thank you! My DD has lots of co workers and this will be nice and inexpensive enough they won't be made to feel they undergifted her and they will really like the gift. Hard to do both theses days.

I have a question on the sugar scrub. I was given some for a gift , I used it once, and then I wondered if it was a good idea to put this oil down my drain. I have enough issues with clogged drains.

Good question --- as I love the scrub and was just about to ask for the recipe! Does anyone know the answer?

I seldom have a clogged drain, not any at all since the kids grew up and out, and I use the scrub a lot. I'm on a septic system and it's checked once a year and so far we have gotten a good check up.

I use white or brown sugar and extra virgin coconut oil (love the smell). 1 cup sugar to 1/2 cup oil. That's all I use. Here is website that has many basic recipes with variations: http://wellnessmama.com/3628/sugar-scrub-recipe/
