Thought you might be interested in looking at Karen's blog on Quilt's ..... etc. She hand pieced her Joseph's Coat quilt and even if you are going to machine sew it, you might want to see how she put it together. She is quite phenomenal as a hand piecer/hand quilter.

Interesting, but it will stick to machine piecing it, I think..........although that 1/4" tape idea is a thought....I think I have some of that tape somewhere.......

Jan, I have one and have never figured out how to use.... I wanted it to mark 1/4 inch seams for my hand quilting. I didn't think it worked well, but maybe using it wrong.

Someone posted a tutorial on here of how to do the Josephs coat by machine. I can't remember who. It seems like it was sometime this year. I can picture her face as that is her avatar. I searched and couldn't find it. Does this quilt go by another name? I thought I bookmarked it but haven't found it. Would love to find it as this is on my bucket list.

I have done one several years ago, my friends DMIL started it years and years ago and I was asked to finish it. Really enjoy making and came out very nice and you will enjoy it too. If I can I will include photo of it.

It is also called "Orange Peel" "Citrus Peel" and "Rob Peter to pay Paul"

I saved this link a while back as I liked her instructions. http://dontlooknow.typepad.com/dont_...lt-along-.html
