Both this post and the one with the cookie sheet are talking about TRAYS that you would put on top of your quilting frame to hold notions etc. Not a qulting frame.

Isn't it funny how sometimes I think to search the board first, and sometimes I just pop in with a question. There has been some discussion about quilt FRAMES (not tray like I said in the title) in this board.

    I found this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv0iC...eature=related

It is way too big and looks hard to use to me.

as far as holding clamps in a more upward position.....DH sanded down two lathes and I slip those under the elastic near clamps and they rest on lower rods (on my APQS)...they have aged beautifully!!!!!!! Here is another tip.......to keep batting from dragging on floor for large tops.....pvc pipe(may have to join two) hung from shoe strings which are permanently looped on ends of roller the bits of velcro on pipe and roll it up and "hang" from shoestrings.......oh, on ends of pvc so it doesn't slip off ties....dh put a "joiner piece" of pvc....don't know the tech name, but it stops the string from sliding off the ends.......another reasonable gadget.....when not using, pipe just lays on floor under table.
