Default Martelli Long arm quilter...anyone have one?

A friend has a Martelli long arm/mid arm machine on the frame. Her needle is stuck in the down position...If I can find a copy of the instructions, I may be able to figure out how to help her over the phone.

I asked her to bring me the instructions when she picks up the quilt I just did for her (yep, has brand new machine, can't use it). We are both waiting for help from Martelli.

Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of this brand. It is probably something simple. Has she tried moving the needle by hand?

Have you tried unplugging the machine and seeing if it will reset itself when plugged back in?

Recently, the needle fell out of my Babylock Tiara because I didn't have the needle tightened enough when I switched out. I had to pull it out with pliers. Could she loosen the needle from the shaft, and then raise the needle bar . . .and then perhaps lift the needle with pliers that way?

I guess you have tired taking it off power and restarting? The Martelli people are at every quilt show I've been to this year. I was looking at their set up and said I'll buy the whole shebang if I call CS five times and get answered each time by a person and get a call back from a tech so I can ask a question. He gave me a number but so far no answer on the first two calls spaced several weeks apart. No sale.
