Default Need Opinions please..

Does anyone have a HUSQVARNA VIKINGŪ PlatinumTM 16 quilting machine, if so, could you give me your opinions? My DH has said he wants to get it for my birthday (early gift) (doing the happy dance), but I want to make sure it's worth the money we will be paying.

My first machine when I started quilting was a Husqvarna and I literally worked that thing to death! You might want to try to search on the internet for 'sewing machine reviews' and see what you come up with. There are probably a few boards that people write their opinions of machines.

I'm stitching and quilting on a H. Viking Freesia 425 - that i have had for donkeys years.....bless her...she gets a workout and keeps on ticking. Can't answer your question, but just wanted to say that that is a DANG nice birthday present...so Kudos to you !!!! and your DH for such a thoughtful gift.

You might want to try to do an ADVANCE search and enter the DSM and see if there have been any posts on this website. Good Luck !! I have my Bernina and even tho she is getting old as I am, I still love her.

It looks remarkably like the HandiQuilter Sweet Sixteen - and the ad I looked at mentions TruStitch which I think is HQ technology. I have the HQSS and love it. I think it is well worth the money.

Cheers, K

Can't speak about the TM quilting machine specifically, but I do have a Viking Platinum and it's a work horse. Have had this machine for about 10 years now with NO issues at all. Ashamed to say haven't even had it serviced in all these years. Never a problem with it.
