One of my former clients with the program work for just had their second baby. I just graduated them from our program, but with our program each new mum gets a hand made quilt for her babe to play and do tummy time on. This young couple was so committed to being good parents (and are) all during our 2-1/2 years together. I promised 2 weeks ago when they graduated that I would stop by to see him when he came and i would like to give them a quilt for their new little one. Well, I got a message last night that he had arrived, so...Other than using a panel, what would be the quickest pattern to use for a baby quilt?

    Thanks for your input.

a strip quilt in baby prints would be fast and easy.

I do nine patches and snowballs together for a very quick quilt. I have always liked the way they turn out.

Rail Fence is another pattern that goes together quickly.
Theres so many childrens prints to choose from
sometimes choosing the fabrics takes longer than the pattern.

All good ideas. You could also just put 5" squares together to make a scrappy quilt. Add backing and batting pillowcase style, turn, stitch the opening closed and quilt diagonally through the squares. They go together real fast.

Lots of fun ones come to mind - warm wishes (I think) is the name of another. It consists of a block of 3 strips that alternates with a block uncut. That way you could showcase a cute baby print in the uncut block, and strip piece coordinates for the other blocks.
