I have a grandmother's flower garden top all but finished and have put it somewhere?? I have looked everywhere I can think of. One of my quilt guild members asks me about every month if I found it yet and I have to tell her no! It is so frustrating!

In my house the Black Hole is called "a Safe Place". You know, when you want to make sure you know where something is, you put it in "a Safe Place". And I'm pretty sure mine is brimming over with all the stuff I've put there over the years. Some day I'll remember where I designated my "Safe Place" is too.

This happens to me too! My solution is I spend some time looking for it, then stop. I either buy another one or equivalent to what is lost. Then I don't think about it anymore. Most times the item will show up much later and I get a big laugh as to where it was.

Whenever I lose something like that, I remember "the Borrowers" book. I just think of Ma Borrower using it. Eventually it turns up in the most unusual place. It will come back, just not when and where I thought it would.

I usually look up first in the area that I saw it. Try to remember the events of the day. Did I take a photo of it?Good luck! Did you post the kit to show it to the QB?

Ha ha ha I'm glad to know it's not only me this happens to. My husband thinks there is something wrong with me (seriously). I can even look in the fridge for something and not see it. I do this all the time. He will find the whatever it is instantly. So frustrating. I am still looking for a needle threader I bought years ago that is a kind of stand thing and I think I remember that you thread a big loop or hole then push a lever down and your needle is threaded. I really wish I knew where that went! Of course I've bought only silly little cheapies thinking that one would turn up.

That's what happens to me, too.

Perhaps it got mixed in with holiday decorations you put away? I lose quilting stuff all the time too but sometimes I find it hidden in plain sight. Can't imagine how I kept overlooking it each time I searched in the same spot. And then it just magically appears.
