Thanks QuiltnNan ... I'm glad it worked out for you, and that you are not cursing me for the idea. I just hate blocks that have their points touching right to a sashing. While not chopped off, they are just "too close to the edge" for me. The blue "makes" us see the star!!! Look forward to seeing it finished and that you can enjoy it in your new home.

I like the red. I agree with the person who said the navy dulls the colors of the quilt. I think the red brightens it. It's going to be a lovely quilt!

I vote for the blue. I think it makes a nicer break between your star and the piano key border. Also, the blue makes the reds in the star and border seem a little more alive.

i like the red. it adds cohesiveness. Don't overthink it - which one did you immediately like?

The navy frames it nicely.

Love your blocks and the piano key border. Nice work! I also like the navy.

My suggestion would be to first add a white border.
Then the navy .... the red pulls your eye away from the centre star and it really should be the shining glory.
The binding, I'd audition when I got to that point ... my thoughts right now, are to stick with the navy for the same reason.
I agree with this. It's a beautiful star.
