Now is the time to buy backing fabric! 50% off
#1
Connecting Threads is having a 50% off sale on yardage. I bought two fat quarter samplers last week and now I'm ordering fabric for backing. Can't beat under $3 a yard for backing fabric. Good muslin will cost that much. CHARM code is still working to get extra 15% off too.
That is 65% off! Free shipping over $50.

Hmmmm, I went through and added a bunch of fabrics. Then I went to my cart and only 3 of them made it. And it's a pain since I have to keep waiting for the page to load and can't do multiple tabs. So I went back through and started re-adding and half didn't make it this time. Oh well, I guess it's a sign to save my $

I just ordered some sets of fat quarters from them last week, too (Forest Fun and Snow Days), and these would make great backings... Why oh why did I just LAST NIGHT tell DH that I would not buy any more fabric unless I needed it to finish a project??
So do you think that buying a set of fat quarters technically counts as "starting a project" so that I "need" this 50% off fabric to "finish" the "project"?
(I did sort of prepare him yesterday, though, by introducing him to the saying "MY DH lets me buy all the fabric I can hide." He thought that was pretty funny...sort of.)

I told DH I bought enough fabric on a great sale yesterday to keep me in quilt backing for a very long time. It went like this:
DH: And?
me: And what?
DH You want me to do something?
Me. No, why?
DH. you went shopping and bought something and wanted me to know, why?
Me. Most wives discuss their buying with their husbands.
DH: What for?
Me: So when the bill comes in they'll know
DH: We have a bill to pay?
Me: No. I bought lots of fabric and wanted you to know.
DH: Know about what you bought?
Me: Yeah. About buying a lot of fabric
DH: OK, so I know. What do other husbands do when they know?
Me: I don't know.
DH: Did you remember to order new water filters?
 :?
