I use an old long, flat diaper, it holds a lot of water. This is the type of diaper that had to be folded, its about 27" long and 12" wide. It belonged to my son when he was a baby, he's 34 now.

A thin, damp cloth, light-colored will do.

Cloth diaper!! The one I use is from my grandson who is 24 now!

Old white pillowcase or baking/parchment paper.

How does one use parchment paper for a press cloth? It won't hold water, I'm confused.

Have you tried sewing through the heavy duty wonder under? I tried using it to applique a dinosaur on a sweatshirt, it was a very bad experience. I broke several needles, the needle kept getting gummed up from the adhesive.
