Hello,

I am working on a project that I am using fusible binding for. I purchased Pellon 725 Heavy-Duty Wonder-Under fusible web. The directions require the use of a damp press cloth. I've never heard of such a thing. Before I run out and buy one, is there something I can use as a substitute?

All i've ever used is an 18 x 18 square of muslin

I'm with the ladies above. Use whatever you have. Just find something thin that won't transfer any color.

I love my applique pressing sheet. You can lay all your pieces on the sheet and fuse them together before taking them to your fabric, or just lay it over your applique on the fabric. You won't get any gunk on your iron using the sheet.
If you just need a damp cloth, just use a piece of muslin.

I use on old thin tea towel.

I, too, would use whatever was handy. If you really need to see what you are doing as you are doing it, then yes, something thin would be necessary. Otherwise, any old thing should work.

I use a white washcloth

I have pressing sheets (teflon), but most the time I just use
parchment paper.
Much cheaper the the teflon sheets, and more readily available.
