Thanks. I love how the pinwheel quilt came out. I used the pattern from the Moda Bakeshop Site, but enlarged it a bit. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/03/...aby-quilt.html

At first I wasn't overwhelmed by the disappearing nine-patch, until I found someone using only three fabrics instead of nine. THIS is stunning:

I agree - I also like three colors in this pattern. I'm making mine in dusty pink, dark brown and cream. I think this pattern looks great scrappy, but for me, it really shines with the three color combo! :D

I used three colors for one I did a while back, My oldest DGD gave it to her other Grandma after she lost her DH right before Thanksgiving. I posted pictures of it on here.

wow, if this was the one posted from message below. it is beautiful ! did you home machine quilt the top? was it hard to use your home machine to quilt a large project? I have used the D9P for a crib size. My daughter keeps asking for an adult size quilt, but I think how heavy the big projects are for home quilting.
