DIL is an anestesiologist and asked me to make her some scrub hats to wear in surgery. Took one she had bought over the internet for $25.00 - only has 3 piece pattern. Takes all of about 2 hours to make. And now she has custom scrub hats for all seasons and holidays!

Don't they need to be sterile?
I once made a small bag for my bow rosin. That must be the most unusual item I ever made. I selected brownish musical themed fabric and made minute log cabin blocks. |
No the clothes don't have to be sterile. Just drapes and hands and instruments! And part needing surg of course!!

Interesting question. I've only just started out so nothing to strange but would like to hear other people's responses.

"In season" panties for a small female dog. They had to be washable, hold a pad, absorbant and easily removable for the owner and not the dog!

An over the shoulder dog carrier for a very small dog. Had a removable (acrylic padded board) bottom and a peek-a-boo flap on the side.

My machinist husband and I take turns making things for each other. I made him a mask to wear to keep the bottom half of his face warm while riding his Harley and he modifys stuff for me and my sewing room. It is amazing what you can do with a hack saw and or a drill. I have made him stuff for his guns, tools and even lawn equipment. Between us we are pretty inventive.

I made a fabric heart valentine and a 2" envelope to put it in for my husband. It had a top flap with a crocheted loop and button closure.
