    First thing I read was gives an antique look. Pellon is great. I use it in handbags and have never had any trouble. I guess you could wash the batting first to avoid the crinkled look.

    I use Hobbs Thermore poly batting for wallhangings & table runners. It won't beard. It doesn't shrink when washed because it is poly. It drapes beautifully and stays that way. Hand quilts like a dream if you would want to do that.
    I really like it for baby quilts too.
