Rotor Blades
#17
No cutting yourself! I have nightmares about that! How bad was it? I often wonder how many quilters have had to have stitches from rotary cuts. Maybe none I hope!
I drive people crazy cutting toward myself, but no one taught me how to use a rotary cutter. Graphic designers (me) always cut down which is toward yourself. We have great control over our blades and know the consequences of dull blades and not paying attention.
Sharp blades are the key. If you can get them for 75 cents a piece, switch them out daily. Your arm will thank you. Cutting with a rotary blade should be like cutting through softened butter. If it isn't, you need a new blade or a new elbow. Your choice.

I wonder if they would work with the Martelli cutters?
Harbor Frieght has their corporate offices in my town. I drive by them on my way to work. Maybe I will have to stop in after work to the store and see if they have them.

2 to a package and only $1.45 WOOHOO. I bought 10 packages before they discover quilters are using them and raise the price. They are super sharp. think they are made sharper as carpet is tough. Cut like going through butter.
Girl in store said they will have to limit how many a person can buy at a time. They are dangerous. I looked at her and "I am 61 years old I know how to use a blade and one will cut someone just as well at 20."
Always trying to take our bonuses away lol.
