Thanks, I did restitch the inside stars and that helped. Now I have soaked the blocks in cold water and laid them onto batting with a backing fabric and I am pinning out the rumples - then waiting to see if that does anything once they dry. Probably not, I know. But I just can't tell what is going on with the rest of the rumpling, so I think I will take them to a quilt instructor next week and see if she can make out what to do. There are so many pieces!

hmmmm... it seems to me to be an unsolvable problem. guess you might as well send them to me and get them out of your way, lol. seriously, those are scrumptious!! if you give up ( i hope, i hope) just pm me for my address! i haven't tried anything that adventurous, but i like the idea of removing the last part and marking a new seam line. good luck!

You should sew 1 & 2 together, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, and 7 & 8, then sew 1-2 & 3-4 together, then 5-6 & 7-8, then sew the two pieces one straight line. Lovely blocks, love the fabric. Try to get all points matching, stop sewing at least 1 or 2 threads before getting into the 1/4 seam. Research triangles, there is a good tute on this board, will try to find it for you.

If none of these solutions work maybe you could use these individual star points as an exploding star pattern. Could make a small star in the same colors and then place it in a center square. Then put each individual point in individual squares. Wonld look as though the individual point pieces were traveling away from the center star. Does that make sense? Don't know how to add a diagram. Good luck. They are great fabrics, you coordinated your colors beautifully.
