Default Sashing or not?

I've finally put together my Grandson's I Spy quilt, however, I'm not sure I want a sashing. I am thinking it only needs a binding. If a binding would help to bring out the quilt, what color should I use? Should it be a solid or a print? My head is just not working right today.

I'd pick out a dark blue from the quilt and bind it with that. The quilt is so nice, some day I'll be that good too. :-)

your choice whether to border or not, but for binding, I would use a vibrant red, deep dark purple, or a distinct royal blue. a darkish green would also look nice. It could be a print that reads like a solid. Bindings can be fun too. Great I Spy. I like that you used triangles.

I think I would like a dark blue or black border. It is a great I Spy top!

I vote for a sashing too. It would frame it all nicely. I'd use a dark fabric or even a deep red.

a border would look great. I am even thinking the same white same size as the others and then another border with a darker color.

I don't think it necessarily needs a boarder unless you just want to make it bigger. Pick the boy's favorite color for the binding. Almost anything will work since it is probably already in the quilt. I really like the layout you chose.

Perfect the way it is. I agree with the suggestions for a dark colored binding.

Yes, a dark border would finish off this quilt nicely I think. if you use the same fabric for the border that you use for the binding, it would just look like a little larger border.

I like a border on my quilts. It is up to you whether you have a border or not.
Very pretty quilt.
