I have been quilting for about 4 years. I have the Brothers LT3750......I use this machine daily to piece quilt blocks and use in tops for quilts for my quilting group at the church. This is a real work horse..........I think I paid about $l50.00. Same machine today is about $89.00............... Has many different stitches............Most are built in. Very few changes to be made from one type stitch to another. Bought this from Wal/Mart. I also have a Singer. Always use my Brothers.
I think this would be just what your sister would need.
Happy Quilting to your sister.

I bought a better version of the Wal-Mart Brother from a dealer. He said it has a better motor than the cheaper version and would last longer. He took my old White as a trade in and services it free once a year. Im happy.

Thanks so much for all the advice. I will pass it all on to her. I was thinking a basic brother would be good too so I am glad so many people have suggested that. I know she will appreciate all the help. Thanks again!
