I use my kitchen island but I also have a table from Lowes or Home Depot that I put risers from Bed, Bath & Beyond under the legs to raise it to the proper heighth. That works. These risers are made to raise the heighth of a bed, but they work on a table too.

My kitchen island 3x5 is too high for me. I have my cutting mat on my chest freezer.
