I use an antique dresser. Just took the mirror off and it's a perfect height. Oh, and did I say how wonderful those drawers are to store my leftovers for scrap quilts!

I have the same table from Sam's Club, with adjustable height legs. The table collapses easy and is lightweight so I can bring it to retreats with me. It's 2' X 4' and I love it.

I also have the table from JoAnn's. It is not the best made table in the world, but worth the $60 on sale for it's collapsability and ease of moving it around the room. I have the huge mat that fits on top of it. If you're OK knowing that it's not the sturdiest table you can get, but is at a good price and collapses nicely, then go for it.

I agree. it's kind of cheaply made, but it's just the right height and it folds up to fit a small area. It also has wheels so you can get it around the house easily. But I wouldn't ever pay full price for it.

Connie asked for pictures of my cutting table made from the wire baskets so I finally located my camera and am posting a picture. While I was at it, I also took a picture of my ironing surface and my TV stand that all use the wire baskets.

My DH made the top on the cutting table wider than the baskets so that I can sit on a stool for some taskes

That's a good idea, but my machine wouldn't work so well as it has a slightly rounded top...some of the new machines do...

I have a Dritz cutting table...got it at Joann's a number of years ago on a 1/2 price sale. I like it because it's the right height for me to do my cutting, and I've also done my quilt sandwiching on it. When not in use, the outer legs fold inward, and the middle section is about 12 inches wide, so it doesn't take up much space.

I have one of the JoAnn's Cutting table. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, IT!!!! As you can see in my avatar, I have the table open to the full length. (It makes my sewing room a little smaller, but I don't have to move everything out from under the table, just to open it up & then have to move it all back to close down half of the table.) I just need to get the cutting mat that goes on it. I am 5' and the table is the perfect height for me. I do retighten the bolts regularly, so as not to have the wobbles.  I hope that I have helped you.

;););) Have a blessed day. ;););)
