Default What would you buy?

I have a used Babylock Elure, and have had quite a bit of problems with it. I was looking at the Pfaff, and find out they are not still made in Germany...way behind the times. Anyway does anyone have any experience with the Pfaff Expression 3.5 or 4.2, or the Performance 5.0....I sure would appreciate any advice. I am looking for something with a wider throat than my babylock, and one that doesn't break the thread every time I try free motion. Thanks! Maureen

You might consider a HandiQuilter Sweet 16.

I quilt on my Brother, Laura Ashley, Innov-is`, NX 2000 with an 11" throat and I love it!! It gives me no trouble at all and purrs like a kitten!! If it starts getting louder, I know to clean it good as it runs in whisper mode until it gets linty!

Nancy Notions quit being spokesperson for Pfaff after many years due to the bad quality of the newer machines.

I never knew this Onebyone and am grateful for your information...that is why I asked. Thank you all!

I have 2 pfaffs, old models made in Germany. They are excellent machines but I don't know much about the newer models.

I just bought a Pfaff Creative Sensation Pro and I love with this machine will do. I have had a Pfaff for over 20 years and I am totally sold on the brand....old or new. Find a good dealer to help you get the most from your machine.

I love my Janome MC8900. It has as 11" throat and also includes a version of the Sew Steady table. It comes with different quilting free-motion feet.

I have a Pfaff Expression 4.2 and I love it. It sews like a dream. The wide throat is a great feature when I piece and FMQ.

I I just sold my Babylock Ellure+ and bought a Juki. Less pricey, does nearly the same things and I love it!
