I'm pretty open minded. I try to find a focus fabric first and if I love that, I'll love the quilt. I then pick colors from the focus fabric.
I know I've made at least 500 quilts, probably way more, and I don't believe there are any colors I've avoided. One thing I notice, looking back, is that I have a strong tendancy to include both warm and cool colors in a quilt. I've made both high and low contrast quilts also.

I love autumn colors also - deep rich colors - just thinking of painting our dining room a sage green... now it's maroon (half way up) to the border (scarecrows and seasons). Our living room is the maroon, cream and country blue. I love the deep colors.

But I have to say I am LOVING the purple quilt I am working on now. Never used just one color before - even my husband says it's the prettiest quilt he has seen me do so far. Will post pics soon.
