I've been wanting to make this quilt. I'm glad you showed it to us. It's so pretty. If it were mine, I would do a 5" wide solid border. Green sounds perfect. I love your quilt. I bet it was fun making it.

I think a border would set if off nicely. It would give the eyes a place to rest. This is beautifully done, by the way. Are you thinking of a single border, or maybe double?

I'm with the majority here and feel a border that appears solid would nicely show off all of the "movement" in your quilt. It's a gorgeous quilt! I think I would also bind it with the same fabric as the border is made of because my mind's eye just can't see it with a binding that stands out. It needs to match or blend with the border. IMHO.

I like the colors and the pattern of your quilt. I tend to "border" things. haha I even outlined my coloring page characters with a black crayon when I was a kid.

Love your strip twist quilt with or without a border! It looks perfect as is, but would probably look just as good with a border of a nice, blending color........maybe a green as some have suggested.

Well I guess I the odd man out on this one--I would NOT put a border on it . It is a beautiful quilt with a modern feel to it and to keep with that I would just add binding, no border. I am partial to more modern quilt designs and the majority of them don't have borders. To me a border would distract from the clean geometric design lines. You did a great job on it and love the colors!!

How big do you want the quilt to be? I think it looks nice without a border if this is the size you want. If you want it to be bigger then I would add a 1" "stop" border of one of the colors in the quilt and then the wider dark green border. Show us a pic when you are done!!!! Lovely quilt!!!!

Thanks for all the opinions and the compliments.

Ok, I think I'm going to put a small (maybe 2.5) border of a medium green, then a wide border of my dark marbled green, probably 5-6 inches wide. Now to shop my stash for the medium green!

That would make the quilt about 100x100 if my math is correct, that's a good sized queen quilt.
