Yellow Brick Road Pattern
#41
Seems like a lot of people don't like this pattern. I have made two king size quilts with this pattern and I just started quilting a year ago so I thought it was real simple. My actual first bed size quilt was this pattern. I have used up scraps with this pattern both times and I think it is great for that. I thought the cost was well worth the money and having used it more than once, it has paid for itself. And both quilts look completely different due to the total diversity of fabric.

I want to make a yellow brick road quilt. I tried to do a search here but this new board does not seem to be working as well as the old board in the searches. (Unless I'm doing it wrong... can't see how... a search is a search.)
Before I go out and buy the pattern... I wanted to check if anyone has a free one.
(I always seem to buy a pattern only to find it the next day on here. LOL Figured I should ask 1st.)

Yellow Brick Road
Here is a link to a free Brick Road pattern.
http://www.how-to-quilt.com/patterns/brick-road.pdf
And also a link to Wickedly Easy, which is similar to Brick Road. http://www.byannie.com/media/images/...s_patterns.pdf
I have never done either of them, but would like to some day.

It looks like the free pattern for YBR is 24 pgs. to print! I would strip piece a lot of the blocks, for instance sew two A strips together the WOF, then sub cut them. Sew two C strips together the WOF, then sub cut them. Sew together As and Cs, then sew to B.
There is also a Turning 20 pattern and a Turning 20 with a Twist pattern. Very similar and the instructions are easy to understand. Don't know about a free one for these.

I am not sure that the link I posted for the free Lotus Brick Pattern will work. It can be found on Amy Butler's site if you care to visit there. Hope this helps.
